Nearby Hallbarns

Hallbarns is in the village of Simonburn on the edge if Northumberland National Park and close to Hadrian's Wall. It has a lovely tearoom that is a perfect place for rest and refreshment for Wall walkers and a beautiful little church, St Mungo's. The village has an atmospheric and historic charm that caused it to be used in films of Catherine Cookson books.

Simonburn has a Stone Circle that stands near a cairn and the remains of an Iron Age homestead.
